In August 2014, I took Haley & Earl (and Beau) to Stanley with me for Kayce & Drew‘s wedding. None of us thought that just over a year later, the 4 of us would drive up to Stanley for Haley & Earl’s wedding.
There were only 4 of us there, but they made sure that their friends and family were still a part of the day. Haley’s friend Liz helped write the ceremony, Ashley made the flowers, Brianna gave her the garter, Jessie gave her a charm for her bouquet, and Kristine gave her some awesome socks. She brought her mother’s necklace and wore earrings that have been in her family, the Robinsons, for years. And thanks to Paige Coyle at Payette Brewing for supplying their “wedding cake.”
We started at a hotel in Hailey, where they got ready together. Then we drove to Stanley Lake. We found a perfect, natural arch in the trees, right against the water. Then we chased the beautiful light for portraits. They had their first dance in a field, surrounded by the Sawtooths.
Haley and Earl are such rad people with amazing friends. Beau and I were so honored and stoked to be able to be there and get them hitched. I wish we were nearly as cool as they are. I’m just hoping that the more we hang out, the more it will rub off on us.
And just like this wedding, these images are some of my favorites. Perfect light. Real emotion. Coolest people. Best time. More weddings like this, please.
