Kayce + Drew | A Woodsy Redfish Lake Wedding

redfish lake wedding photographer

I love Redfish Lake weddings. I just love the Stanley area in general, with the amazing Sawtooth mountains visible from everywhere. So, obviously, I was really excited when Kayce + Drew asked me to be the photographer for their wedding there.

Kayce’s theme for the day was “Woodsy Whimsy,” so she found some of the very best vendors in the area to help make their wedding day fit that description. From Kyla Beutler Floral Artistry doing amazing bouquets and boutonnieres to their perfect invitations designed by Nichole at Paperie + Pen, I just couldn’t stop gushing about how much I loved everything. If I could do it all over again, I would take quite a few ideas from Kayce.

During their ceremony, the weather really couldn’t make up its mind. But considering that it was dumping rain the night before, a little sprinkling during the ceremony was okay by everyone, I think! After they said their “I dos,” they paddled off in a canoe and spent a few minutes together. Genius. So many people feel like they don’t even get a minute to just be alone with each other on their wedding day because they are so focused on everything and everyone else. So sneaking away on a canoe for some time alone was such a great idea. Plus, it made for some amazing photos!

Their reception was beautiful and so fun, with the band Possum Livin keeping us entertained all night. If you are looking for a band for your wedding, I highly recommend them.

Huge thank you to Kayce + Drew for letting me be a part of your wedding day. It was beautiful, special, and crazy fun! Wish I could relive it over and over. I guess that’s what photos are for…
